A Sexual Transmitted Disease (STD) can be transmitted by have sexual contact with another person who has a disease. There are many different STDs that can be spread. They are spread from sexual activity that involves the mouth, anus, vagina, or penis. STD Testing is necessary as soon as possible after having un-protective. A list of STDs is:
• HIV - which is considered incurable and often leads death, see however origin of HIV
• Herpes - which causes sores
• Gonorrhea - which causes genital warts
There are 18.9 million cases of STD disease each year. This does not include HIV. This is what makes STD Testing so important as soon as possible after un-protective sex, especially if it was with an individual that you do not know well or don’t have a long relationship with. Without knowing you could spread a disease to another individual. Testing can be easy and private. If you have contacted a disease you will have to have treatment.
