BenefitsEdit

What it doesEdit

Once in the body, Vitamin D is converted into a hormone that regulates cell growth, including prevention of the kind of wild cell proliferation that often leads to cancer.

Where to get itEdit

The current US Recommended Daily Allowance is currently 400 IU's. However, many medical researchers are now recommending at least 1000 IU's.

  • Dairy products
  • Fish
  • Liver
  • Eggs
  • Exposure to sunlight can also lead to the formation of Vitamin D as well. Approximately an hour a day should be sufficient. Also be aware that there can be too much of a good thing. In this case, too much exposure can lead to skin cancer.
